Default Newbie looking for Mazda 6 buying advice

Hello everybody,

I'm new to M6 ownership, and I'm thinking now of taking the plunge for my next car. I'm looking for any general buying advice.

I'm in the UK and am currently have my eye on a rather nice M6 GT Sport Nav+ 2.2D Automatic Estate (2018 model).

Is there anything specific I need to look for, check of be aware of when buying one? Any pitfalls to be aware of? I understand that generally this is a fairly reliable car - is that the case?

My impression is that its a fantastic car - I test drove it and thought it drove beautifully - very composed, responsive, nimble and refined I would say.

The only minor downsides I have noticed of this car so far are:

* The large alloys with low profile tyres make the ride slightly unsettled over uneven potholed roads (which par for the course where I live). I wonder whether I could swap the alloys out for smaller ones to improve the ride ? Is that a known / possible mod for the M6 ? I might also keep a set of alloys with 'summer' tyres and one set with 'winter' tyres.

* The infotainment system doesn't seem to be the greatest and the main display screen seemed to quite low resoloution and a bit dim. Specifically the car is lacking Apple Carplay (surprisingly to me). I am hoping to be able to mod this to improve the infotainment and get Apple Carplay. I think this mod is possible ?

* The boot floor appears quite high. The under-floor 'spare wheel well' is taken up with a large polystyrene insert and not much else by the looks of things, as in many modern estate cars. I am wondering if there is an alternative setup, where I could remove the useless insert and instal a lower boot floor ? I'd really welcome any comments or thoughts.

I'd really value any advice or thoughts before I buy.
