Default New key stuck in ignition - no RFID in new key

I bought a 2005 Mazda6 (automatic) a week ago and I didn't realize there was a chip in the key and had a spare made. When I putthe sparein the ignition and went to turn the car on... the key became stuck in the ON mode and now I can not remove it. I can shift gears.

Is there any sequence I can use to remove the key and go back to using my original key until I can go to the dealer to have a spare made?

Doing this on a weekend... I can't get a hold of a dealer or Mazda Usa.

Appreciate your help!

I think you've a badly cut key. It won't start the car because it has no chip, but turning and removing shouldn't be a problem. Sounds like the steering wheel lock is somehow engaged. Try wriggling the wheel while turning the key to the off position. It should come out at off. Good Luck and let us know.
