I have a 05 Mazda 6 and there is a light on the instrument panel that comes on every now and then. It is located on the left side and it looks like a pot with fire coming out of it. it illuminates yellow. What is this. I do not have an owners manuel, I took over payments on this car. I have had all the fluids checked out and changed and everything is fine. Any advice is welcome. Thank You

 

hmm, the only thing that i could think of would be the "low washer fluid level" warning light that could be that description (but that doesnt involve fire). The only other indicator that i could think of off the top of my head would be the (light-on indicator light). it has two symbols that look like fire is shooting out to the right and left directions. is that what you see?

i see, was just taking a stab at that! i've never really taken the time to see where these lights are. i was just thinking of what lights i have seen that could quite possibly fit that description.

 

Sounds like a pre-warmer light, for the elements to heat before you switch the ignition all the way.
