Hey guys, I am just needing the model # information from the keyless entry remote for a 2005 Mazda6 Sport hatchback. I just got the car and it has a remote that deosn't work and the typical programming instructions don't do anything... so I'm wondering if I even have the right remote. It DOES look like the remote in the manual, but I'd like to verify the model #'s (FCC ID, etc) to be sure before I claim it as dead.

This remote says:

Visteon Model 41846
FCC ID: KPU41846
IC: 4238A-41846

I still need verification of the #'s on the remote, but also... has anyone been able to make a newer switchblade style key work with the 05 Mazda6?
