Default Mazda6 v6 0-100mph

i was looking at some 0-100mph numbers and noticed the Mazda6 v6 takes like 25sec (from road&track)
the rsx type-s for example, takes around 16 sec...
the accord v6 takes around 18.5 sec...
i am just wondering if these numbers are accurate... in the sense whether the mazda6 is really that much slower in acceleration?

umm...from your link,
the Mazda6 do 0-100 in 18.7 sec, but 0-110 in 29.8 sec?!
this would actually make more sense if the mazda do in fact do 0-100 in 25 sec....

i thought the 6 is electronically limited to 120mph...
with these stats...
it looks like there is no need to put a limit on it as the car itself seems to have trouble getting to 120...

well the problem is that there is a speed limiter on the vehicle... if you were to take that off... then the time it takes to get from 0 to 110 would be decreased...

when the limiter is on, it doesn't allow the car to quickly get up to speed because doesn't need you pinging off the speedometer... instead it slowly gets you up to max speed that the limiter is set at.

i dont think that's how it works...
i have took a rental to its limit b4...
lets say the max speed is 100.... the car EASILY accelerates to 100, it doesnt "slowly gets you up to max speed"...
it just cuts the fuel at 100, then ur speed will come down to like 97-98 before your gas pedal comes alive again... and basically ur car will be constantly "choking" between 97-100

and, if u look at the numbers for a altima 3.5 (which caps at 125mph), 0-100 in 18.9sec
where the mazda6 makes it in 25sec...

6sec behind the altima and 9 sec behind the rsx type-s...

damnit!! everything about this car is decent except for this.........

I do not beleive that the 0-110 time is correct. It wouldnt take 12 seconds with such a high revving car to hit 110.
