In your original message you were showing from Ebay a 2005 with a bunch of mileage . The Canadian model is a brand spanking new one from the dealer ; a 2006 .

You have to know , there is a difference . Not only in the fact one is used , the other is new ...... but there are significant esthetic differences between the two model years . If you like the '03-'05 years a lot , you might not like the differences in the '06 ; not only have they changed the outside , but also the console in the interior is totally different ..... and the majority out there who loved the latter years , cannot stand how they ruined it esthetically , as I strongly am of this opinion and taste [:'(]

You might want to look closely at what the used '05s are selling for in your area , even through Mazda dealers you have still a great chance of striking an amazing deal . I would choose this route instead of making it too complicated . I see you're confused and you are confusing us with these comparisons ..... if you want to compare please compare apples to apples

ORIGINAL: 6Pack

ORIGINAL: 2blue

im in canada...they quoted me $33,000 cad for the same car as the one in the link. what about getting a trailer hitch? do they make them?

I suppose they quoted for a brand new car with @ no miles on it ?

Cause at that price , it has to be new

this is what I paid for a 2005 top spec fully loaded GT v6 + with additional O.E. extras $$$ :

Bought -$31,255 + tx .... (MSRP $32,795 + tx) ............. savings of $1540
Transp.+Prep. $0 .........(Transp.+ Prep. value $1400) ....... savings of $1400
Financing 0% a 60 months .... (3.9% equivalent @ $3700) .... savings of $3700
RDPRM + Air Cond. $0 de tx ... ( RDPRM + A/C Tax on $190 = $218) .... savings of $28
Cargo Net $0 ................ (Cargo Net value of $40 + tx = $46) ......... savings of $46
Tank Gaz $0 ................ (Tank Gaz of 68 litres at $1.00 a litre) ... savings of $68
3 free oil changes 0$ .... (3 oil change at dealer @ $40) ... savings of $120
installation Mazda Perimeter Shock Sensor $0 .... (labor $60 + tx = $69) ..... savings of $69
Mazda Perimeter Shock Sensor saved on no tax........ ( taxe on $65 = $74) ........ savings of $9
installation of Compass Mirror $0 ... (manutention $30 + tx = $34.50) ... savings of $34.50
Tinted Windows 0$ tax ........ (Tinted Windows tx on $200 = $230) .... savings of $30

Total Savings of More Than $7,000.00

My real costs on:
$31,255 + tx - new buy 30 km on odometer (mechanic's road test)
$161.21 tx incl - buy compass integrated to mirror HomeLink auto-dimming
$190 (tx incl of $28 - RDPRM + A/C)
$200 (tx incl of $30) - Tinted Windows
$65 (tx incl of $9) - Perimeter Shock Sensor (Alarm-complement)

Every thing above detailed on bill of sale + all add-ons are warrantied by Mazda for not only 1 year ; but 3 years ... since installed at time of purchase before delivery .

So I think you can do better if you shop the dealers
He's charging you 1,000 over in MSRP !!! You can deal with him a much lower price than that . Look at my example above and if you are lacking experience in dealing with car salesmen ; this is always a very educating and sometimes funny How-To website www.carbuyingtips.com that will show you how to throw back in the salesman's face his bs
