Hi,

I recently purchased a Mazda6 2011 hatchback, but noticed that when opening the boot (via the small button on the car boot door), it releases the boot and opens by perhaps 2 inches, but it doesn't open enough to create enough momentum to fully open. Although this is by no means a pressing matter I was hoping for clarification as to whether the boot should fully open, or just release & if this is the case how I might be able to go about fixing the issue- I assume that it may be to do with the piston being too stiff?

It just pops open so you can manually lift it up.
