Hi everyone. First post. Hope someone can help.

Sat in my car earlier this evening setting up bluetooth on my new phone with ignition on but engine not started. Sat for quite a while when the immobilizer light came up on the dashboard. I'm guessing i maybe triggered some sort of safety / anti theft / left the keys in protocol?

Anyhow, i come to try and start the car now and all looks fine until i try to turn on the engine. Then all i'm getting it the immobilizer light flashing and the lights and dash flashing around with no joy.

I've tried the spare key and get the same result. I've tried waiting 20 mins (thought this was reasonable time to wait) and still the same result.

Does anyone have any suggestions that don't involve hiring a tow truck and taking it to the dealer, depleting my meager savings and ruining my little girls Christmas?
