I currently have a Mazda 6 Sport, which I’ve had for about 18 months. Absolutely love it! beautiful looking car and a dream to drive. I have a few little extras on it, which makes it a bit unique.

But alas, a couple of weeks ago I started to hear a knocking sound coming from the engine. When I took it to Mazda, I was told that the oil had run low and may have coursed the problem. I was quite annoyed because I do check the oil (maybe not as often as I should) but if it was that low, to cause damage, I would have thought my oil light would have come on, which it never has. Anyway, I’ve been told that the labour cost in stripping down the engine to find the problem is not economical, and Mazda suggest I need a new engine at a cost of £5,000. I’m absolutely gutted, but have decided to just sell the car, and maybe someone with mechanical knowledge could pick up a bargain.

Now the good news, instead of replacing the Mazda 6, I have decided to go for an RX8, again a lovely looking car. So have ordered one and am awaiting delivery.
