Default HID Headlights

Does anyone know if there would be a problem with putting 100W HID bulbs in a M6. Do you think they would get to hot. I thought they were normally around 55 or 60W.

You will most likely melt your headlight ballast. I've read other posts of ppl doing this and the turnouts weren't so good. I would recommend getting an aftermarket HID setup.

100W HIDs? Holy crap. That oughta melt something.

I've got HIDs in stock in H4 (reg and Hi/Lo) and H7.
They are 35W, which is pretty standard although I've seen some 50W kits out there. Along with mixed reviews of them.
35W is plenty of HID power.

I did contact the dealer and they said they have seen some melted HL assemblies already, so I decided to go with Osram Silverstar 55W bulbs, what a difference.
