Default Mazda 6 overheating problems

ok guys and gals. I'm having a overheating problem. So far i have got rid of the pulley on the crankshaft on the driver side. Replace Thermostat, temp sensor/sender, hose connector that goes to the throttle body and to the back of engine. fixed radiator. it drivees fine then on the temp gauge. it goes from operating temp then shoots all the way up passed the h line. once that happens the traction control light and tcs off light. Stay on untill you shut the car off. Car doesnt cut off but its starts sputtering and acting weird. If you have any ?s that will be great. Its a 2005 Mazda 6s. has short ram intake aem. just replaced maf sensor aswell.

4 cylinder or V6? What "pulley" did you get rid off? I'm confused.

After how long (time) does it overheat?
Is it loosing coolant?
Did you flush the cooling system when you had thermostat out?
Are the cooling fans working?
Might be time for a TK test ( testing for exhaust gas in cooling system)

my money is on an air pocket. the air pocket works its way to the water pump, the pump cavitates, and you get overheat. sometimes you can put the hvac on the highest heat settings, and see if you get heat. if just a small amount of heat comes out, there is air in the system. i recommend a vacuum fill system for the coolant. check it out:

you will need shop air to use this tool, but it is foolproof. vacuum fill is used in a lot of shops now. the system is filled 100% cold, no need to 'burp' the system any more.

Thanks man im going to a local mechanic shop today. That has that system. To flush and fill my whole system. See if that's the issue. Also got to vacum and fill the hvac system. Accidentally took off hvac condesor while replacing the radiator. That's y I haven't tested heater.
