Unhappy Mazda 6- Horn: no sound when using from steering

Hello to all; I have still my troubles with my horn on Mazda 6 2007 ; Update and resume : the horn works as it should be when using the remote control for locking doors (twice hits make horn comes on ) So i think horns, relay, etc under hood are fine ; But when using horn switch from steering wheel : no sound ; Had problem before from body control module receiving water from above (the well know problem) So i did clean the contacts on the BCM connectors (corrosion ) but NO change ... Maybe the clock spring , but i do not have any other problems coming from steering controls : audio, cruise etc , all functioning Well; My question is : is the BCM involve in the circuit when using the remote and locking doors ? I just want to pinpoint the problem: BCM or clock spring or else ?? If i replace the BCM , does it need some re-programmation or not ? Is a bypass of the BCM only for the horn could be possible ? Thanks again.

I would be checking the clock spring connectors. Remove the airbag and check the actual horn switch contacts.

Hi, So i did check the contacts , looks fine, but i did apply some contact cleaner on all 3 just in case.. Verify with ohmeter : all ok;
So i think i am stuck with 2 options :clock spring and-or BCM module
But when i use the key remote fob to lock doors , horns works fine; (relay-fuse-horns : all Ok )
Is the BCM module involved in the circuit at this time when using the remote control fob key ?
I dont mind replacing clock spring or BCM , i just want to know which one should be first..
Last question : If i replace the BCM , does it need to be re-programmed or not ? Thanks again Jm
