Like the title says. I have a Mazda 6 2008 second generation model.

​​​​Engine light came on yesterday and DPF started flashing. Engine light turned on, then off, on again and then off. I took it on the motorway, the engine felt a little weaker than normal but wasn't in Limp-mode (At this point the engine light had turned off again)

I'm scheduled to change the oil in about two weeks and i asked them to run diagnostics as well.
I know DPF will blink if a service is necessary, but this was done and reset not that long ago.

So a couple of questions.

1. What do you think the issue might be?
2. Is it safe to keep driving the car until my appointment?

 

Without scanning it for codes, we can only guess.

Gentle driving for two weeks ( without limp mode ) should be ok.
