Default Lower Rear Motor Mount

Hi guys and gals, good forum looks like alot of knowledge and crazyness
I have a 2005 Mazda 6 2.3 and the lower rear motor mount just broke, the circular piece that goes around the bushing snapped a 2 inch piece out of it. Any suggestions where to find one and is it something I could install myself?? It just looks like a couple of bolts however I know all about the " It only looks like" game

It's easy to install yourself, and this is not an uncommon problem for our cars, especially if they see any spirited driving. I'd recommend upgrading to an aftermarket unit, rather than going with another of the weak stock units. Stree Unit's mount is supposed to be one of the best out there and it can be found here.

A coupla' wrenches (14mm, IIRC) and a pry bar to keep the engine/tranny out of the way... 15mins.
Don't forget to use the Loc-Tite, red if you have it but blue will do, and 60-65 ft.lbs. on the bolts.

Um, double check the engine type listed for the engine mount I linked you to before you buy it....can't remember if it was the 2.3/mazdaspeed one or the 3.0.

Yeah, you linked to the 3.0, but I did not see one for the NA 2.3L. They have to be similar though and may actually interchange.

Hank, if you are interested, I might contact SU directly before placing your order. They should know definitively if they have a mount that is correct for your car.

I am almost certain that the mazdaspeed one and the mazda6i one are interchangeable as they share the same block.
