Default keeps going into limp mode on hills

i wonder if anyones had this problem, if i drive on a level road the car runs ok, but if i go on any inclines/hills the car overheats and goes into limp mode and the engine light comes on (p0401) it says, just ordered an egr valve and map sensor do you think changing these will remedy it please, p.s its a 2015 2.2 skyactive saloon

How many miles / km's on the engine?

These engines are known to have build up of carbon in & around the intake manifold.
