just got 4 new goodyears
Hey all,
I finally got new tires on my 2005 Mazda6i hatch in volcanic red today! The stock Michelins lasted 69,700 miles (not too bad huh?). I purchased 4 Goodyear Eagle with Response Edge Technology215/50 17's. I wanted to go with the Michelin's again but they only had three and they could use some better wet/ snow traction. I gotta say the new Goodyears make the car ride somewhat smoother. It doesn't hit the bumps as hard, they feel like more of a luxury tire without sacrificing any handling. Also saved about $50 per tire at $169/tire! The steering feels considerably lighter which is nice. I have been searching the mazda6 forums and I haven't seen anyone else talk about these tires. Anybody else got them or know anything about them?
Josh

RE: just got 4 new goodyears
Had a set of these on my 05 and actually considered swapping them out when I bought my 08. I thought the same, smooth riding tire and very responsive. These tires will go on my 08 when the michelins are done.
