hello! Just got myself a new 3 5-door and love it....
Just wanted to say hi to everyone. I picked up a Velocity Red 5-door with the 6disc changer, moonroof, and ABS package. I love it so far. Please go to http://www.spdutta.com/mazda3.htm to see my pics.
I have a few questions for you guys...
1. I want to add the Sirius Satellite kit and the Neo Ipod Interface. Both happen to use the same connection at the back of the radio. Is there any type of splitter available for that connection so I can add both or am I stuck with choosing one of them?
2. How easy is it to add the factory Xenon package to the car? Is this something I could do myself or should I just have the dealer do it?
BTW...when I went to pick it up the Mazda guys were telling me that they are doing their own employee pricing deal. I ended up getting the car for about $500 below invoice. I was quite pleased. Just though I'd pass that on.
Thanks

1. Is it a factory SAT. system?
2. A: using factory Mazda parts way to *amned much money.
B: you can get aftermarket kits but there is a decent amount of cutting that you would have to do to make them work
C: warranty concern, if you do upgrade the possibility of harness damage is there and the front harness of a 3 is about 1600.00.
D: dont use high intensity bulbs, they overheat the lens and the harness has a slight tendency to melt when exposed to heat.
my 2 cents
