2005 Mazda 6s gear changing problem
Hello,
summer is coming so temperature is rising and some issue with my Mazda 6s is coming back like year ago. In the morning when car is cold, everything works well. During the day when temperature is higher and i drive few kilometers in traffic, I have to use much force on my gearstick to put a gear (1st gear is the hardest). It's also very hard to shift to reverse gear without a clunk. It looks like something is expanding due to heat and making bigger friction. Do you have any idea what is it? For sure it's not an oil issue, because it was changed. I also replaced a complete clutch kit and it didn't make much difference. When i turn engine off, even if car is hot after travelling, I can put every gear in easily.

What oil are you using? Oil can make a huge difference.
Have you bled the clutch? Have you adjusted the pedal height?
Does the clutch engage with the same pedal height cold vs hot?
I know you can adjust the shift cables on my Mazda 3, the 6 might also be adjustable.

I don't remember exactly which type of oil has been used (for sure Castrol), but it was chosen according to catalogue for this car. It was quite more expensive than standard oil.
I don't changed clutch myself so I don't know for sure, but I suppose that my mechanic bled clutch after changing.
Do you mean adjusting pedal by this bolt? http://images66.fotosik.pl/1044/b785a3a856495a12med.jpg
I tried this but it doesn't make any difference.
Clutch engage at the same height hot or cold (just above the floor, maybe 1cm)
How can I adjust the cables?
