I haven't even gotten around to putting these bulbs in yet. Since I have off work Friday night...maybe I will do it then. Where is my motivation?!

Me=too damn busy. STILL haven't. I will definitely let you know when I do. I just got my car back from the dealership after having my passenger side headlight replaced. Was getting condensation in it.

cndctrdj,

I hate when people run off-road lights on the highway. Nothing like getting blinded from behind. I usually slam my brakes on people like you. Like you said, they ARE illegal and they are that for a reason....safety for EVERYONE ELSE. Please be considerate of others on the road. It's as much for tham as it is for you.

One thing that you might want to think about. Those higher wattage bulbs are putting a huge strain on the stock wiring. It isn't uncommon for high watt bulbs to fry the wiring.

I believe H1 for both the low beam AND high beam.

i know the bulb for my high beam light is #9005, so the low beam i think is one of the hd. on the 3 only the low beam is a projector light, the high-beam is halogen.

I just put in a set of Luminics H1 bulbs...5,510 k...they work great. (55watts- 130 watts output) I had silverstars in my last car..a Focus...they were excellent, but burn out in one to two years. Luminics...google it...mail order free from Calif..$24 It's a bit difficult to change the bulbs..no room to work, your hands block your view. Took 30 minutes...hey I'm not a pro mechanic...just an old guy who wants to see at night...I also raised the aim point a bit- and its real good now. No one flashes at me and I don't even need the high beams!
