My daughter has a 2007 Mazda6. I believe the gears that moves the driver's seat back and forth are stripped. It was jerky when she first purchased it, but not it won't move at all. I can tell the motors are trying to move the seat, and for a while one side would move a little bit and you could coax the seat to move. Now, it does nothing. Is it possible to rebuild the mechanism that moves the seat? I pulled the seat out, and nothing obvious struck me. I also looked around for replacement gears but couldn't find them. The seats themselves look fine, so I hate to replace the entire seat with the extra expense.
