I currently own a 2015 Mazda 6 Grand Touring, fully loaded with all the tech package that I absolutely love.

Even compared to current year Mazda 6's, my 2015 Mazda came with I-ELOOP that gets significantly better gas mileage then non I-ELOOP Mazdas (2-5mpg more depending on driving environment). Trust me, this adds up each tank full and of course, over the life of the car. This is not just me basing this on the specs but by me driving current generation Mazda's loaner vehicles for periods at a time and recording the gas mileage and mpg at each fill up, just like I do on my current 2015 Mazda. There is a significant and noticeable improvement in MPG with the I-ELOOP system.

I noticed Mazda is not including any new Mazda's with I-ELOOP anymore. Perhaps I am just overlooking it.

Did Mazda discontinue the I-ELOOP system?
If so, why did they discontinue the I-ELOOP system?
If so, what year did Mazda discontinue the I-ELOOP system?
