Default changing clutch

I think the clutch on my girlfriends 04' GS Sport is gone. Steady climb in rpm's with no noticeable change in vehicle speed in all gears. Its getting progressivly worse.

Ive never done a clutch on a fwd and the lack of posts here on the subject has me a little worried..

Is this something best left to a shop? If so, what could I expect the bill to be?
Ive got most necessary tools, time, and a shop. But no vehicle lift

what do you think?

It sounds like you have some experience with mechanics and as you say, most of the tools. I say Go For It!! Especially if you have the time and place.
It's liable to be a bit of a pain, but really, how bad could it be?

im just not sure if you've got to drop the front end or suspension to get at the clutch
Im gonna peak around under there today and see what it looks like

I have done my clutch on my 6 already. The crossmember does have to be dropped from the car. I would not recommend that you do this job without a lift.
