hey guys just have a question. i have a 2004 mazda atenza and when you start it it idles around 2500 rpms and then drops to just under 2000 rpms when you put it into gear. and starts shuttering hard out but when the revs go over 2500 it goes away. it also does it when ur slowing down.anyone know how to fix it.

Sounds like the trans is dying. If you start it up & let if fully warm up, what does it idle at?
After a big drive & Its fully warmed up does it still shudder in Drive? In neutral?.

Whats the ATF level? Colour? Does it smell burnt?
