Default Brake problem on my 04 :(

I have noticed this lately when I first start the car up and begin driving, the brake pedal is very loud (sqeeky) and you have to push down rather hard to get the car to come to a stop. After 10-15 min of driving the problem goes away.
Any Idea what this could be because it is almost dangerous for those first few min of driving if you have to emergency brake!

Thanks alot

Sounds like you've got air in your braking system. It's difficult to stop at first because you are trying to compress air rather than move the hydraulic fluid in your brake system.

Take a look at your brake fluid level, and see if you can identify any areas where brake fluid may have leaked out or air can get in.

The brakes get better after you drive for a while because the air gets pushed further back into the system.
