Default Bose rear amplified subwoofer

Hi All. I am a new member. I have just boughtthe new mazda6 1.8L. Unfortunatelyit came without the bose system. Under the parcel shelf there is a place where to fit a subwoofer and also there is a white connecter with it. I was wondering if anyone can tell me how i can fit an amplified subwoofer to improve the sound system.

Thanks
Simon

This is just a guess, but it may be that the car is prewired for the Bose system, but not necessarily connected to the std system.
One way to tell would be to hook up a volt meter to the output and see if you get a reading w/the stereo playing. Since the voltage would be AC and you are not looking for a specific reading, it won't matter which way the probes are connected.
