Default To Bose or not to Bose...

That is the question. Hearing some negatives on the upgraded Bose (9 speaker). I am looking at a 14 Touring, would it be better to just not get the Bose upgrade? Think the touring comes w/a 6 speaker setup.

If I upgraded the speakers after market, would this both sound better and save me some bucks as the bose/roof option is like eleven hundred-ish?

Thanks

I don't have a frame of reference but here's my 2 cents. I just bought a 2014 Touring with the Bose package. It's only been a couple of days but I'm pretty happy with it.

I would agree with some of the folks who comment that it's a little too heavily concentrated on the center speaker, but all in all, it does sound good.

I have a 2014 CX5. The Bose stereo is very disappointing. I would definitely suggest the after market upgrade. I wish i had done that

Have you turned off the Centerpoint setting?

Hi everyone,

i just bought the 14 touring model with the bose/moon roof pkg. where is the subwoofer located. I liked the sound quality with the upgrade as compared to the one without the bose pkg.

thanks

No subwoofer comes with Bose in CX-5.

hi cx-sv

thanks for your reply. I just assumed a music pkg upgrade would include a subwoofer. too late to do anything now.

There's no subwoofer but there's a nifty center speaker that drowns out all the other speakers and just wait till you start using the IPOD and Pandora options. 2007 technology at its finest

Hi. What is center point and audiopilot. I have the bose package. the centerpoint option on the display was disabled. I was not able to turn it on or off.
