Default 2012 Mazda6 remote start issues

so i bought the factory remote start online and installed it myself. not the first time i have install remote starts/alarms. its not working, i cant get the immoblizer interface to program, nothing is happening at all. the book says the horn should be honking and the led on the module should light up... they are not. I triple checked all the connections, they are right, the only thing i can think of is the DNA card, the one in the module says Mazda3 on it, im wondering if there was a mix up in the factory. anyone else have any ideas what i can look for? or any previous issues with this remote start? any advice would be appreciated.

It makes sense on what you are saying. Do you have a 6 cylinder? In earlier years the V6 was a different computer than the 4 cylinders (also no Mazda 3 has a 6 cylinder). For example: Hypertech can re-program the 4 cyl but not the V6. No one has been able to actually "RE-PROGRAM" the 6 cylinder computer, except for piggy back units such as CPE (that trick the computer).
I laugh @ "DNA" Card. Do you have to swab your mouth with it before installing it?
