Hello to all. I'm new to this forum.
I have a 2010 Mazda 6 Diesel hatch and I'm trying to physically remove the electric power steering rack after involving it. It seems to be physically impossible to slide the rack out from one side. I can only imagine that I must have to drop some part of the sun frame. Can anyone please help me here. Thanks in advance.

You need to drop the sub-frame.

 

Thankyou for that. I believe I don't need to completely remove it but just lower it sufficiently to allow the rack to clear. Are there many specific bolts which need to be taken out please?
