Default 2010 Mazda 6 Alternator Amps

Hello, what amp alternator does the 2010 mazda 6 use? The dealer told me 13.9-14 Volts but I want to know the amps.

Thanks,

The amps are regulated by the charging volt demand which I am pretty sure your year is ECU controlled (not confirmed I am not at the shop at the moment) . So knowing the maximum amps is only really needed if you are installing independent device that have a larger necessary amp to maintain best operations i.e. stereo amplifier(sub woofer class) .

If you are diagnostic testing the complete charging system then you need to look for the service guide and see the amp vs voltage demand chart while connected via a Diagnostic tool like a Snap-on Solus to check the proper output of the amp and the ECU registering (if ecu controlled) the demand to adjust generator output rate.

Yes the reason I need the max amps the alternator has is because I may need to use it in an emergency situation attached to an inverter. I want to know the max watts I can safely pull through the alternator.

Shouldnt all 2010 mazda 6 have the same alternator? I feel like this information should be easy to find but I cannot locate it! haha

Thanks for any more help!

AllData service specification USA model 2010 Mazda 6 @110amp max output.

I use a 300 watt off the battery myself (2018 Mazda 3) with plans to build a harness to handle 900-1200 unit with the stock 100amp max generator.
They key to making an inverter of high support work is a TESTED in good condition battery like a replacement Optima RED or Yellow and a stand alone dedicated custom wire harness with good auto resetting circuit protection relays.

Looks like operating specification 11o max amps.

With 110 amps what is a safe amount of watts to pull?

1000 watt Continuous Power with a good quality inverter. (READ THE MANUFACTURES SPECIFICATION AND ANY SPECIFIC CAUTIONS,WARNING OR REQUIREMENTS)

Be careful and consider how to use electrical part that have a surge draw when first turned on.
