I need to replace the shifter seal as it is leaking like crazy. Googling for it was a nightmare as Google keeps thinking I want Miata or Mazda3 information. After several hours I found the parts, seal and boot.

Does anyone know how to remove the shifter rod? Or is there a seal extractor tool to do this job? The transmission service manual does not even touch on this subject.
