RE: 2007 Mazdaspeed 6 vs Mazda 6
Also I would be much more enticed to buy the speed6 if it came in ATX. I drive for a living using my own car and a Mtx would so get on my nerves. So for me the speed being MTX is a drawback.
What would it take to get the 6speed in an ATX?
As for wanting the speed with a 3.0, I think it would be great, to get a Mazda6 straight from the dealer pushing over 300hp.

to the original guy who asked this question.
THIS DECISION IS A NO BRAINER
speed6's get compared to sTi's, EVOs, 350z an even the audi s4
meanwhile. the 3.0L v6k, sure its quick. but its just like any other ho-hum mazda6 when it comes to appeal
worth the extra 2 grand? (the speed6 can be taken home for $22k these days with markdowns)
DEFINATELY.

There are pluses for the 6i, 6s, and speed6. Wife has a 6s auto and I have a speed6. There are times I like driving her 6s more then my speed6. I'm not in the coolaid drinking world that cool is having the most of something. The 6 does alot for the money, but you all know that.
If you need fuel mileage and less in monthly payments then the 6i is the way to go. There selling them new for $14,$$$ in the KC area.Need more power(that's my wife) then the 6s will do the job. Bought a left over 06 that msrp at $25,??? for $17,200.The speed6 is great! 22mpg(cold temp)to 26mpg and lots of torque & power. I bought it for $24,??? on sept 06. MSRP was $31,???. Only thing I do not like is the clutch. It's better since I adj it, just alittle.
Hope this helps.
