Default 2005 Mazda 6 Engle RPM fluctuation

Hi everyone. I recently have been having this problem that seems to be magnified in cold weather. I have a K&N air intake. At 60,000 miles the rpms fluctuate when braking. For instance, when slowing for a traffic light, the car may increase rpms out of nowhere. It may go up to 2,000. I can even see the rpms needle move slightly at complete idle. At first it was so bad my car would stall at traffic lights. But I tightened the air intake to make sure it wasn't lose. It got much better. But it still is giving me some minor RPM fluctuations. It is annoying when I am trying to slow down. What do you think the problem is? bad oxygen sensor, bad maf or bad valve? Considering it got much better when I tightened the air intake, it might be a air leak... I would appreciate any help on this matter. Thanks

re-tighten the band clamps on the intake system and the throttle body let us know if this fixes it

Does the K&N intake also reuse the stock accordian hose at the Throttle Body? If it does, that hose may be cracked or torn.
