Hey Folks,

I'm new to the forum...My 2005 v6 with 95 K on it. The check engine light came on for the first time tonight on my way home from work..Figures as I just paid the car off..haha. Anyway, the car seems to run fine but I don't exactly know what the code tells me or pinpoints the problem other than an emissions issue..Could it be a gas cap or MAF sensor or what have you.... Does anyone have any thoughts or the same code come up? I guess I just need to take it to the mechanic for further diagnostics..

Another issues is my Fan comes on pretty often once the car is warmed up and will stay on for 20 sec or so after the car is turned off.. I had the radiator flushed and new coolant put in at the beginning of this summer and the temp gauge reads normal. It's been extremely hot here in Texas this summer so I was attributing it to that.. Any thoughts as to why the fan comes on so often? could it be a fan control module problem?
