I'm TOTALLY clueless when it comes to mechanical things, so i'm looking for some help regarding my car. I have an 06 Mazda6 Luxury Sports Hatch (manual) that has approx 55000kms on the clock. Over the last month or two i've noticed a tinny rattle sound coming from the back. I normally have my music on but turned it off while I had passengers. That's when I first became aware of the problem and now it's bugging me because I can hear it even when I have my music on.

It's the same sort of noise that a car makes when it's about to stall or wants to be changed down a gear and sounds like it's coming from the back. The sound occurs most often when i'm travelling over 60km/hr. If I take my foot off the accelerator (say while coasting down a hill) and then accelerate again, I get the noise.

I know my car doesn't need to be changed down a gear as quite often I might be travelling at 90km/hr in 5th gear when the car makes the noise. Has anyone experience this or does anyone know what it might be?
