Why No Cruise Control in UK?

Anyone know why cruise control isn't offered on UK models?

Anyone know if it's available anywhere in Europe?

Or anywhere !?

Because the UK Mazda 5, even the sporthas the povertyspec of a 1967 Lada, that's why! I have had a 3TS and a 6TS as courtesy cars and their standard fit is easily as impressive as my 5 sport. The sport appears to have been at the back of the line when the standard fit extras were handed out.
