Default What mileage have you changed out your drive belt?

So our 2007 just hit 75,000 miles, and when I took her in for service to the indy shop, told them as per the manual to "Inspect the Drive belts (tension)". They called me and said the serpentine belt needs to be replaced, so I said go ahead. It was $150 in parts plus an hour labour, which included $50 for some "kit".

Never saw the old belt(s), and am curious, how many of you have replaced yours and when?

Is it good to do it as a preventative thing, or do you wait for some sign to replace it?

Changed mine at 180k. Just always check drive belts every week. Did this because Im curious to know how long they last. They start squeaking during wet days though even with low kms.

Guessing you have a petrol.

Just done my diesel Cambelt and looking at the auxilliary drive belt, that had tiny holes in it, though the ribbing looked good. 63K on a 2008 2.0D
More than likely really worth doing by that mileage
