Default Towing a caravan

Hello all,
I have a Mazda 5 2.0s 07 plate and am considering buying a caravan, has anyone got any feedback on towing. Any advice would be appreciated

I am not familiar with your regulations regarding this matter. But in Norway you could not have a caravan bigger than 1400 kg. That is a really small caravan. But trailers on Mazda 5 is of no problem, its only the weight issue that is troublesome for my concern.

same here in the uk 1400kg although the caravan club recommend 85% of this as a 'safe' weight to tow, however this figure is somewhat dated. i was just after any opinions on the cars performance while towing

I've had no problems towing for the last 2 years I have the 2.0l diesel sport.

Just been from Manchester to Vendee and back this summer, total mileage towing about 1500miles with all the family etc etc
