Default Sway Bar 2007 Mazda 5

Hello, All:
My front sway bar is making a lot of noise and I believe I have to replace the bushings. I saw one video (that wasn't really a video; just had a bunch of still life pics) demonstrating how to do this, but he said to "do it blind" from underneath the car and just reach up and figure out by touch how to replace them. Anyone have a better suggestion? Can you access the bushings by removing the wheel splash guard?

I just did this and it did in fact fix the clunking sounds on the front end. I saw that "slideshow" before doing it and dude was correct - you have to do it blind. it was an awful job actually. Horrible working room and no visibility. The reason you do it blind is because the sway bar mounts to the top of the subframe cross bar, so you can't remove it. Lay on your back and grab a long 3/8in ratchet with a flex head, and in some cases a small extension or a 1/2in ratchet. Remove the tires and stick one hand through the wheel side to help guide, cuss and swear a lot, bust some knuckles, and you'll get it.

The only thing that was incorrect about that video is I believe he said you have to remove the sway bar link on the passenger side, which I did not.

All the frustration aside, it was nice to fix that issue for $8.
