Default rear sway bar

we have 2 99 s'. does anyone know if the 2001-rear sway bar will bolt up? i see the part numbers for the rear crossmembers are different, but it looks like all the mounting points are there.

99 crossmember is different part. If mount points look ok then may bolt to crossmember. Also need mount point to the spindle. The 99 model spindle is same as a 2001 if built after 6/13/2000 and last 6 digits of VIN greater than 617667. Earlier probably does not have a place to mount the stabilizer link to the spindle.

checking the part numbers on the euro epc, where the cars had a rear bar stock, the part numbers for the bar and the bushings do not come up in the us system. the rear knuckle is the same part, us and euro. the brackets and links are good us part numbers. the later bar and associated parts are the same, us and euro. i am thinking the later bar, and the us one, may be thicker. also, the front bar is different early and late(up to my2001), but again, the links, brackets, etc are the same. supposedly the later car had a 30% stiffer chassis, some of this could come from bigger sway bars. handling of our cars would improve with a rear stabilizer bar. if i find one from a later car for a decent price, i will get it, then i will know.

Part numbers for bar and bushings do not come up on US epc for 99 because they did not exist as you have probably concluded. I used our parts department to identify differences in subframes and knucles instead of epc which automatically gives superceeded numbers. Shop manual shows rear sway bar but parts does not list any part available for sway bar. Did not check 01 model though to see when the changeover happened. We have so few Millenia where I now live that I think I could count them on one hand. I have an 01 coming in the next week or so for a HUGE 60k service and will give rear suspension a good look over to see if rear sway bar will adapt to it.
p.s how in the heck do you access euro epc?? Can pull up US on my home pc and at work with my password but do not even see anything that will get to euro.

well, since i dont have access to the us epc, i bought a bootleg epc off ebay from england. known as the xedos9 in europe. in aussieland it is a eunos-something. they also had rear wheel steering. i sell parts for a living, and i am well used to looking up parts on various epc's. i also like to supply my own part numbers, that way there is less chance of mistakes, and if there is one, it is on me.
