squeaking noise at idle in drive, when AC is off.
I have 2009 Mazda5 with about 68,000 miles. The noise is only when in D position idling at stoplights. The noise goes away when the gear is in P or N and also when AC compressor kicks in. The car has the squeaking rattling noise for the last five years or so and getting more and more annoying now. Anybody has the similar issue or any suggestions of how to fix?
On the 1st gen models the AC has a separate belt for the AC which is behind the serpentine belt. Check that for wear, and see if all of the pulleys are spinning appropriately and without play. Possibly something to do with the AC clutch if it’s squeaking when the clutch disengages.
