I bought an oem roof rack from a guy that said it was on his 2009 mazda 5. I tried installing it on my 2012 and it looks to be a little short (about 1 inch). Is the 2009 rack compatible with my car or is this from a different mazda?

 

Pretty sure the roof and hard points on the roof are the same between the first and 2nd gen. Actually I‘m positive they are because I installed the OEM Mazda rack (Thule rebrand) from my sister’s ‘08 on my ‘12 before I purchased my own rack.

In what dimension is it one inch short? The front and rear bar mount widths are different, so the front one is more narrow than the rear. Also depending on the rack it may have a bit of adjustment range for where the feet/towers connect to the cross bars. What rack is this?
