Reversing sensor
Car is a 55plate Mazda 5 and the reversing bleeper is not working. I have had a quick look this morning and when I put my finger over each rear bumper mounted sensor they tick. Am guessing this must mean the sensors are working ok? I do not know where the bleeper box is situated so I can have a check for loose wires etc. Does anybody on here know where the bleeper box is? I can see some wires ( when i look under the car) but when I look in the boot I cannot see them. Is all the wiring and the bleeper thing hidden behind the driver's side boot trim? Does anybody on here know where the bleeper is and how to get to it? Many thanks in advance. P.s. I forgot to say that the reverse bleepers are factory fitted ones.
Hiya, The control unit is on l/h side in boot. The bleeper will be attached to the side panel, which needs removing partially. 1: Take out small storage lid in the panel (storage lid) 2: Undo 10mm bolt at bottom left of side panel (has clip on cover and tie handle attached) Unclip trim over lock and accross boot. (2 x clips) 3: Pull panel and unclip as much as you can, and you will see bleeper in top section behind the panel. I forgot to mention that before pulling the panel you will need to drop third row seats and take out wheel change tray, pushing carpet as far forward as possible. Hope this helps?
