Preventive care 2013 GT
Hi everyone,
New to the forum, just bought a 2013 Mazda 5 GT, 245 000 km (Manual transmission). Great price but needed love. So here's what needed to be done :
- rear suspensions (done)
- two link-it (done tomorrow)
- Muffler (done tomorrow)
- One bearing rear wheel (at some point soon)
- ABS line (at some point, don't really care for ABS)
- Alignment is off but I'll need new summer tires soon was thinking of waiting for that.
- Been told the tables need to be changed often but they were replaced less than a year ago. Thoughts?
Now I'd like to make sure this one lasts longer than my last car (Nissan Versa 2012) so I'm trying to think ahead and do the small stuff that will help in the long run beside the obvious oil changes.
- Changing the spark plugs
Have the transmission fluid changed. (was not changed in 5 years)
Have it rust proofed in the autumn. (not bad right now but I've heard some horror stories of earlier models)
Anything else that is easily DIY or cheap that could help? Anything I should look out for on this specific model and year?
Thanks a lot folks, looking forward to your advice.
