Never seen one and probably never will so can't comment but I don't like the idea as I said sump plug and washer if tightened correctly is the way to go. I have a dislike for anything brass that extends out and subject to vibration.

here you go…I always do my own inspection , measuring, testing, etc., before I make comments on any product so it is experienced and not what is posted by DIY or ads on the internet.

As far as this valve becoming OEM… I doubt auto manufacturers would ever spend more money to cause people to visit the dealership's service department less.

Or using this valve when it fails they visit independent service shops more. Generally when they fail the customer that installed the valve cross thread the factory oil pan drain plug threads but tighten the valve down anyway Or the drain valve seizes so can’t drain oil and they can’t get the valve out because the initial install they stripped the oil pan drain plug . Or the quirky lube or the like fast oil and filter changes remove the valve and damage both the valve and the oil pan . Lol I would guess without checking about 4-6 each year.

But on most forums we only read from the super users of them never having a problem…
