Default Mazda5 - Rear Window not working

Hi Guys,

I have had a problem since I bought the car, the rear window was misbehaving and would not work from the driver door. The dealer came along, reset it by the switch - happy days.

Except now, the button is not working at all. I cannot control this window by either the window switch on the door itself, nor, the driver door. The other three work fine, just not this nearside rear door.

It makes no noise, it makes no attempt to move, it doesnt even click a relay.... Any ideas?

James

You have to check to see if the window motor is getting power. This would involve removing the inner door paneling and unplugging the electrical connection from the motor. Then use multimeter leads to touch the metal contacts of the connector. Should see 12V while pressing on the switch. If your not comfortable doing any of that, then it’s back to the shop!
