Default Mazda 5 tappets

Hi, looking for some advice regarding Mazda 5 tappets, doing a refurb on engine and mixed up original tapper location. Any advice on where to find the correct order. Looked online no luck.

It may help in the future to post the year and engine size and type (fuel used) for better answers to service questions.

general tappet installation after mixed up: Unless you can identify by way of the wear pattern and match it to the cam lobes you are basically SOL. I would look carefully at each one and see if there is any unusual wear patterns If not then you are not likely to have mechanical problems or damage to camshaft lobes?

I recommend use an old egg carton and mark the holder corresponding to where you removed parts from.

Thankyou for the quick response. Yeah messed up big time. It’s petrol 2008 1.9. Upon checking there doesn’t seem to be much difference in wear pattern. My question now is what symptoms/sounds should I look out for when starting. Hopefully none but just in case.

Honestly it is not likely you would hear anything abnormal The cam as well the tappets are hardened steel and will create a mating wear pattern over time. When your mix up parts toy start multiple new wear patterns. On a street driven car I doubt you would have any issues whatsoever. Now if you like to buzzz the motor at RED line often then I would have suggested a new set of tappets.
On a side note maybe use some engine assembly lube (Molybdenum disulfide (or molylube) either the tappets face or the cam lobes just as an insurance measure and more piece of mind?

my thoughts DON"T WOORY ABOUT IT!!!!
