Mazda 5 - DVD Question
Hi all.
I have got to choosea new company car and have tested the Mazda 5 and really loved it (especially the sliding door). I tested the Sport Nav version and wanted to add the in car DVD player for my little girl's enjoyment.
Has anyone got this or tried it? I happened to notice in the drivers handbook that it doesnt play anything other than original DVD's by the look of it, which will be a real problem for all those kid's dvds I have lovingly backed up onto DVD-R removing the menus and adverts so they just play the film directly. Imagine driving along and she wanted to change the DVD, she's only 3 and would be able to navigate the menu system on most DVD's!
Anyone actually tried to see if this does work, or is the manual correct?

Sadly it is correct and will not play anything but original dvds. We tried. I will have to say that you should get an aftermarket dvd player the factory one is not good at all, at $1200 it is a waste of money. You can purcase a much better and biggerone at Circuit City installed for about $800.
