Default Ignition Coil Problem

My mazda mx-5 was running rough. I took it to Repair shop and they estimate $700 to replace ignition coil and spark plug wires. It is too much money to be spent on the car which I hardly drive, so I bought the parts from ebay for $200. I was wondering if anyone here had already changed their igntion coil? I am very novice on these repair, and wondering if i can do it myself or any instruction I can find to help me replace the part. Thanks in advance

Default RE: Ignition Coil Problem

Hi there, wrong forum I'm afraid, this is for the Mazda 5, not Mazda MX-5 !

I've just had a look and the forum doesn't have a section for your car, but I think you'd be better off trying here:

https://www.mazdaforum.com/forumid_29/tt.htm

as there may be someone with experience of your car there.

Best of luck,

Dave.
