New to the forums here.

I just bought a 2015 Mazda5 Touring with only 12 miles on it.

It has the sensor on the dashboard in front of the passenger seat but it is not enabled and the switch on the left side of the steering wheel is of course missing.

The Grand Touring has the headlamp sensor and switch.

Would it be difficult to add the switch to the dashboard and to enable the sensor? I searched on Rockauto.com but didn't find the parts.

The sensor your looking at is probably the Sun Load Sensor and is only present if you have Automatic Climate Control. The sensor helps adjust cooling effort for the Auto Climate based on sun strength.

 

You should be able to find all the parts here. If you give them a call, I'm sure they could throw something together. They might also have it in the accessories section.
