Fuse Tap Problem with 2025 CX-5
Greets, all:
I'm trying to install a dashcam that requires full-time and accessory power and have found that the driver's side (interior) fuse panel has #11 (Accessory) and #14 (Power) slots availalable to power the dashcam. The problem is that each fuse tap accommodates two fuses, so its height (vertical, when installed) prohibits using both the selected slots and/or when I try turning the tap the other way, it won't seat fully because the lead extending from the tap rests atop the plastic "divider" separating both sides of the fuse panel.
Short of removing the fuse panel and soldering the necessary power connections on the back of it--which I'm loathe to do--has anybody found a single-fuse tap or insert that goes into the empty fuse slot so I can accommodate the power wires...or is there another source of (dual) power that's easily accessible?
Thanks in advance for your replies!
